We had a HOT time (i.e. outside wedding) at this wedding! It was at the soon-to-be-opened Mandola Winery in Dripping Springs. Some of you may recognize the Damien Mandola name from the man who owns the Carrabba’s restaurant chain, as well as the new Mandola’s Market, located at the triangle near 45th/Guadalupe/Lamar. The bride had a beautiful cathedral-length dress that had a castillian-type touch to it. It was the first event at the facility and there were over 300+ people there.

We recently went out with Alex and Oliver and did a quick engagement session (or e-session as we call them). They’ll be getting married pretty soon, with the ceremony at Grace Lutheran in Lockhart and the reception at Texas Old Town in Kyle.
We just came back from doing a bridal for Christy at DunVegan Keep. Craig, the owner, really does an awesome job with the upkeep of that place. We had a great time, though, it seemed as if it were going to rain any minute during the session. It was in perfect timing in that the thunder came RIGHT when we finished up, so God was on our side. The rain came shortly thereafter.
Christy is a former UT cheerleader, and her wedding is next month at Hyde Park Baptist Church. Her mom came along, as well as her maid-of-honor AND her cosmetics lady (now that is what I call ‘service’!). Anyway, it was great for the cosmetics lady to be there, because it gave us the opportunity to see how well the makeup would hold up. It did well. Also, her florist gave her a sample wedding bouquet and the flowers looked beautiful, too.
I really can’t say enough about how glad I am that we moved to using Canon equipment from Nikon. We are getting some superior colors and amazing details with the 5D.
