Sarah H.’s Bridal Session, university of texas in austin, texas

I just COULD NOT BELIEVE the awesome weather we had yesterday – clear and a high of 75! Who would ever guess that it would be this way after the ice storm we had 2 weeks ago – crazy, crazy weather.

This lovely weather provided an awesome opportunity for a lovely bridal session that we captured for Sarah H. We’re looking forward to her wedding in early March to Chris at the Terrace Club. She was an awesome model, and we had a lot of fun. We ran around the UT Union Building, Battle Hall (next to UT Tower) and we took some lifestyle portraits on the steps of the Tower. Ice storm in Austin!

Well, our entire town (and Central Texas for that matter) has been frozen-in for about 3 days now. Here’s a quick slideshow that I built to show what’s going on.

I couldn’t believe how much ice accumulated on our home and vehicles! It was over a half-inch thick on the Highlander.

Here are some images from their lovely wedding. I’ve already posted the details in a previous entry. For the highlights, I decided to combine little traditional and a little photojournalism for this wedding. The Texas Women’s Federation Hall is a beautiful and elegant place, and I think any image you photography there looks so awesome in a black and white or sepia. This wedding was unique for us, too, because we were able to start out our day at the bride’s parent’s home (we usually start out at a church or reception venue). This made it more personal and we even photographed the family dog (a first for us!).

I’m so happy that they chose us to be their photographer.  Here is a link to the highlights of their wedding day in a slideshow.

We are running a booth at the Austin Wedding Guide Bridal Show this weekend and I hope that it’s successful. We received MANY bookings from last January’s show, and it’s always fun to meet up with other vendors and say ‘hi’.

The lady behind the veil gets married!

The lady behind the veil gets married! That’s right! The mystery lady behind the veil just got married over the weekend! She has been gracing the cover of our website for quite a while now!

Sarah and Jacob got married at Riverbend Church. I thought it was quite fitting since she looks so much like Jessica Simpson, and Jessica got married there.

After the wedding, this lovely lady and her husband had their reception at the Texas Women’s Federation Hall, and rode their in style, thanks to a friend that has a Rolls-Royce Bentley!

The yummy food was provided by Dagars and they were on top of everything and they provided some awesome service. We’ll have some fun images to post shortly. The lady behind the veil gets married!
