kelly and stan’s wedding storyshow

We had a fun time photographing the wedding of Kelly and Stan in Dripping Springs, Texas, near Austin, Texas. We made another fun trip to The Terrace Club in Dripping Springs.

You can look at the storyshow of the wedding that we photographed by clicking here.

tigers win! 7-1

What an incredible win!  A last second heroic catch in the end zone to take the lead in the game with ONE second left on the clock!  I couldn’t believe it! It was so surreal! I felt like it didn’t happen, because it was the last play of the game, and I wasn’t sure we were going to win until the 4th Quarter (we were behind for most of the game).  I think this should definitely win on ESPN’s game changing play of the week!

I actually flew in to see the game.  It was special for me because I was able to bring my 6-year old nephew to see his first LSU game.  He got to see Mike the Tiger the VI (we were right by the mini-cage as they drove in to the stadium), the Golden Band from Tigerland, and he go to see the Tiger Walk (when the football players come down the hill and walk into Death Valley or LSU Stadium).  I would show some pictures, but I didn’t take any because I forgot my point-n-shoot at home.

We have a tough test in a couple of weeks in Alabama, and it should be smooth sailing after that until the SEC championship game on December 1st.

melissa and mike’s wedding at the terrace club in dripping springs, texas

What a fun time we had at The Terrace Club on Sunday.  We captured another awesome wedding with a couple that I really grew very close with.  Melissa and Mike are such a fun couple and I was so excited about being a part of their day.

We started off the day by Melissa arriving at the Terrace Club to get ready.  Mike and the fellas arrived shortly thereafter.  We were then off to the races because they had to all get ready, grab some family portraits before-hand, and sign the Ketubah (a marriage contract for a Jewish wedding).  I really loved the artwork of the Ketubah that they purchased, and I know it will look beautiful in their home.  The ceremony was a beautiful sunset wedding held under a chuppah (canopy), and the cantor played background music throughout the ceremony to keep the mood.  We then went and partied the night away.  Hunter and the gals at the Terrace Club did a fantastic job of keeping everything on schedule, too.

I really enjoyed the close family atmosphere at this wedding.  Mike had relatives come from as far as Argentina and Mexico, while Melissa had relatives come from as far as Australia.  Even though they don’t see these folks every day, it seemed like they all just saw each other yesterday.

The couple did have so much fun visiting with all of their guests and almost ran out of time for the Hora (a traditional dance of celebration is done. The dance most widely known is when the bride and groom are lifted in chairs on the shoulders of their guests.)

This is another couple that I am really honored to get to know.  Here are just a few of the precious moments that we were able to capture.

tigers fall – 6-1 to the wildcats

What a bummer.  We lost in triple OT.  I won’t comment too much except we should have won.  I’ll be flying into Baton Rouge for the next home game when we play Auburn.  We’re still in the hunt for a National Championship, so all is not lost.
