We captured this awesome wedding during game day at the University of Texas. Unfortunately, UT lost to Kansas State by a huge margin. The wedding, on the other hand, was a success.
We started off the day by capturing Marcella getting ready at St. Austin’s Catholic Church. It was a beautiful ceremony, and it was only a couple of blocks away from the reception. We then walked on over to the University of Texas Ballroom for a fun reception. We did have to walk faster than usual, because it started to rain only a few blocks over during the football game!
The University of Texas T Ballroom reception was beautifully-lit with candlelabras and huge ornate and elegant chandeliers. We tried to maintain the mood of the reception in many of our images. You can see some of them below. Here’s some fun moments that we captured, along with some quick fashion work.

I couldn’t get over how similar Zach and his dad looked here.

Marcella’s brother (left) had taken leave from the military to see her get married. They also had a friend in the active military as well, and they were part of the house party. This moment was very moving to me, because of my prior military commitment (I was in the military for 11 years). Here’s the Marine Captain describing his service award ribbons.

I just love the artistry portrayed in Catholic churches.

Here’s another awesome image that my associate shooter, HJ, captured. She always where I can’t be (I was upfront at this point), and gets great angles.

I think Marcella should be the new spokesperson for Darque Tan.

Here’s a really nice moment that we captured with Marcella hugging her new uncle-in-law.

I’ll let you figure out what song this guy is dancing to.
