The last three months have been super busy and super exciting. We’re cranking out weddings, albums, portrait sessions, and watching some good ole LSU football. It was kind of fun to actually see the same band twice in one month at two different weddings. We captured Ron and his group called ‘The Grooves’. As some of you may know, we are a featured photographer at many of the best venues in town. One of them is Vintage Villas, a beautiful resort that overlooks Lake Travis. We’re pretty excited to find out that one of our weddings we captured back in June is now one of the five featured weddings. We’re very honored that they chose such a cute couple.

We made another fun trip to the home of the horsies – Kali-Kate Farms in Buda, Texas. We actually had ‘Hawaii’ weather – temps in the 70′s with a slight wind and little humidity – it was AWESOME weather for a wedding!
I really loved Sarah’s dress because it’s not the ‘average white wedding dress’. It definitely had a modern look to it and I had never seen a wedding dress like that before. Her blue eyes and her strawberry-red hair accented the dress well, too. Don was a handsome fella’ himself, too. Both of them were very relaxed and they really enjoyed the day.
Don wrote her a very touching card before the wedding and sent it to her – I thought that was a nice touch because you don’t see that too often.
Sarah also took it upon herself to design the departure gifts all of the way from the bag to the oreo-reeses peanut butter cup itself! YUM!

We had a fun time photographing the wedding of Kelly and Stan in Dripping Springs, Texas, near Austin, Texas. We made another fun trip to The Terrace Club in Dripping Springs. We’ve been waiting for this wedding all year long because this was another awesome couple to work with. I loved that this couple were just good ole simple folks, and the bride’s dress was VERY elegant. I call Kelly my ‘mermaid bride’ because her dress fit her like a glove and she looked so awesome in it. It came all of the way from Spain, too!
We started out the day capturing them both getting ready, and Stan was a bit nervous. All of that tension eased once his bride came down the steps. It was a gorgeous day and very windy. This came in REALLY handy because she had a huge veil, and I always say ‘the bigger, the better’! We then captured the beautiful sunset ceremony and the couple got whisked away to the reception to the sounds of The Grooves, a local wedding band that’s awesome.

I really have not felt like blogging lately because of this loss. This has taken us out of the national championship picture. UGH! There’s all kinds of rumors that all of our coaches are leaving, too, so that’s pretty furstrating, too. Also, I can’t believe that Texas A&M beat UT – that blew me away, too.
