blog is now updated….

After cranking out a bunch of albums, I decided to take a break and do some posting of the blog.  All of you enjoy!

The dominoes fell down in the right order – We’re going to the ‘ship!

The ‘ship meaning the ‘CHAMPIONSHIP’ as in NCAA Football National Championship!  I can’t believe – what a crazy day (and year) in college football.  Because of the losses of both Missouri and West Virginia (Thanks Oklahoma and Pitt – we owe you a latte), and because of some finessing of the polls, we’re now going to play for the NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP against Ohio State!  I’m so excited.  You have to know where I will be at on January 8th.

tigers are the SEC champions! no more rocky top!

LSU beat the Tennessee Volunteers 21-14 to win the SEC Championship and it was an awesome game.  It was a crazy day full of drama – it felt like a wedding!  At the beginning of the day, ESPN erroneously reported that our football coach was leaving for Michigan.  Then, 2 hours before the game, the coach calls a news conference to say that he’s not leaving and he will be the coach at LSU now and for a while.  We then go beat Tennessee with a lot of our main guys hurt.  Since we won, we get a chance to go to the Nokia Sugar Bowl on January 1st to go and play Hawaii (probably).

The last three months have been super busy and super exciting.  We’re cranking out weddings, albums, portrait sessions, and watching some good ole LSU football.  It was kind of fun to actually see the same band twice in one month at two different weddings.  We captured Ron and his group called ‘The Grooves’.  We captured some fun images of he and his band and now we’re one of their featured photographers!  Check them out if you need a wedding band – THEY are the real deal!  Go to thegrooves.net

featured wedding on Vintage Villas new website

As some of you may know, we are a featured photographer at many of the best venues in town.  One of them is Vintage Villas, a beautiful resort that overlooks Lake Travis.  We’re pretty excited to find out that one of our weddings we captured back in June is now one of the five featured weddings.  We’re very honored that they chose such a cute couple.

To see their story, go to www.vintagevillas.com, click on ‘Here comes the bride’, then ‘I do, I did’, and then ‘Melissa and Chris – A View to Remember’.
