I took some time to attend a local workshop, called the ‘One Light Workshop‘ held by Zach Arrias. It was fun, too, in that I got the opportunity to catch up with some other fellow Austin wedding photographer friends, including Pam Hults, Jen Nichols, Courtney Sprague, and Sarah Quiara. It was unique in that we studied how to take hip and cool portraits with just one light and get some fabulous results. I will definitely be adding this to my next set of portraits.
Please note that these images were all set and we pretty much moved the people around and clicked the camera. We did have room to experiment a little. Zach did a great job of helping us photograph in using flash manually instead of relying on the camera to ‘guess’ what the correct flash output to use.
These images are pretty much straight out of the camera. Thanks to Jen and Courtney for being excellent models!
We had a short and fun visit out to Lakeway Resort and Spato photograph this cute couple for their close and intimate wedding. Demi and Charlie had been dating a while and just recently got engaged. It was a beautiful morning for a wedding, and we did it on the back porch of the resort. This was my first ‘Greek Goddess’ to ever photograph (she’s from Greece), and she looked absolutely stunning for their special day together.
