My Aunt Pat and her long-time husband, my uncle Bernard, just celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary by having a renewal of vows ceremony and reception. They treated it like their first wedding! They invited all kinds of family and friends. They renewed their vows and we even had cake! The renewal of vows ceremony was so touching and it was very cute to see them both tearing up. When I saw this, I thought – "HEY! I want that!" I wasn’t the official photographer because I just wanted to enjoy the renewal festivities. I did take 1 picture of them in front of their cake with my new Canon G9 point-and-shoot camera. I just loved their cake topper – it’s traditional, but yet, it suits them fine.
