We traveled off to Kali-Kate farms for this awesome wedding, but started off the day getting ready at the hotel.  We had an extended session at the hotel, so we were able to get full coverage of hair and makeup with Michelle, while spending time with their new son, Chase.

It was a beautiful and cool day and the weather was awesome.  This couple also saw each other for the first time before the ceremony for their ‘first glance’.  I really like it when couples do this, because it gives us extra time and opportunity to get some awesome photographs of the two without the stress of ‘what to do next or where to go next’.

The couple finished the night off with dancing and fun, and Michelle’s grandfather even played a couple of songs.

Jessica from Something To Celebrate Wedding Planning did an awesome job of running the show and keeping everything on track.  She was great to work with, too.

We will see this awesome couple again in few weeks at the Terrace Club in Dripping Springs. 

We had another awesome session with another fun bride at DunVegan Keep, today.  I think I will call Beth my ‘most-prized bride’.  She’s the most prized, because she won so many prizes at every bridal extravaganza show she attended!  I know she went to at least two, if not three.  She even won a contest for a free bridal session from me.  She actually won the same contest again at a later show, but she left before her name was called.  I believe she won some luggage and some trips, too. 

I got to meet her mom again (Mrs. Kim is so fun) and her sister Courtney.   Despite the heat (when is it going to cool down?), this bride and her makeup and energy held up well.  It’s been a while since I’ve had a blue-eyed bride, so that was fun to capture those awesome blue eyes, too.

.  I can’t wait to get back there since they have completed all of the renovations. 

I’m so happy that they chose us to be their photographer.  We will see this bride and her handsome groom-to-be in a few weeks for their wedding in Austin, Texas.

We originally planned to go to Mayfield Park, but since it was so hot, I thought it was better that we go visit somewhere else.  We settled on Vintage Villas, and it actually worked out really well.  We did some inside and outside stuff.

I got to meet her mom, Mrs. Daphne, again and I got to meet her Dad, Mr. Ken.  They also brought along their little dog, and I think it’s always fun to incorporate the people and things that are very important to each bride in the bridal session.  Her Dad is also a photographer-by-hobby, and he and I talked a bit about camera gear.  Their dog reminded of my childhood pet, because it was the same breed.

I wish we could have spent more time here because the lighting was so awesome again, but because of the heat and lack of shade, we only spent a couple of hours. 

We’ll see this bride again in a couple of months!  I’m so glad that she chose us to be their Austin Wedding Photographer.

Her mom did a great job of keeping the bride cooled down, too.

I was so excited to finally meet Brooke.  She and Kris live up in Dallas, so I never got to meet them until now.  She was a pleasure to meet and she was a pleasure to work with.  I got to meet her mom and dad again (he’s into photography, so we had a good talk), and I got meet one of her bridesmaids named Stephanie.  Brooke was truly gorgeous, and I know that Kris is going to be uber-excited to see her coming down the aisle.

I’m so excited that she chose us to be their Austin Wedding Photographer.  We will see her again in a few weeks for the wedding!
